Last weekend many of your favorite stars breezed through Atlanta, GA to celebrate and honor African American achievement at the 24th annual Trumpet Awards. With host Nia Long and Terrance J keeping the crowd entertained, stars like Regina Hall, Michael Ealy, & Monique took on presenter duties. The show kicked off with Mc Lyte, YoYo & Monie Love paying tribute to the first ladies rap Salt N Pepa. Other acts to hit stage included GA native Joe , Vivian Green and rising star Andra Day who sang as apart of the special tribute to all 20 African American Women of the United States Congress who received the “Political Leadership Award“. Will Packer, George Wallace & Neyo were also honored and received awards. Check out some red carpet action and pictures below:
